
Mr. Aminu is an Associate member and Fellow (Medical Microbiology) of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria FMLSCN (Licensed to practice as medical laboratory scientist). He has Two Master’s Degree: Master of Medical Laboratory Sciences (Medical immunology) and Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) He is a PhD. Candidate at Texila American University.
Mr. Aminu is a Senior Laboratory Officer (Program Quality Assurance Officer). (US DoD Walter Reed Program, Nigeria), Laboratory Program Officer (US DoD Walter Reed Program, Nigeria) and Study Manager (US Military HIV Research Program) – February 2009 t0 2010. Little on his achievements include: (1) – Organized and facilitated the shipment of biological samples stored in liquid nitrogen – Coordination as well as maintenance of supply chain and logistics of research commodities (2) He Coordinated and supervised the execution of 2 year RV230 research: Protocol title “Evaluation of Feasibility and Target Populations for HIV Vaccine Cohort Development in Nigeria” – Liaising between the research sponsor, Principal Investigator, Ethical Committee monitor and research staff as well as writing weekly reports. (3) Developing training modules and coordinating training sessions for Nigerian Military Quality Assurance Officers and Men working in PEPFAR sites.
He is a certified member of many international and national organizations including African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM), Certified trainer and Mentor for SLMTA / WHO-Afro Stepwise Laboratory Improvement Process towards Accreditation, Adequate knowledge and ability to implement the requirement of ISO15189 standard as well as Medical Laboratories particular requirement for quality and competence. – Certified trainer and Mentor for SLMTA/WHO-Afro Stepwise Laboratory Improvement Process towards Accreditation. He has adequate knowledge and ability to apply the ISO19011 Guidelines for auditing management system, interpret as well as implement the General Checklist of College of American Pathologists (CAP), Good managerial skills with experience acquired over 15 years from hospital settings and nongovernmental organizations – Excellent team player and ability to work under pressure. – Ability to identify relevant PT providers and enroll laboratories into appropriate proficiency testing program. – Proficient in applications of Microsoft word, Excel, Access, power point, and SPSS
